Whiskey Sour Whiskey Sour's story is one of both heartbreak and resilience. Despite the many hardships she has faced, she has shown an incredible spirit of survival and a willingness to trust humans again. As an adoptable dog, she is looking for a loving family that will cherish and care for her.
Whiskey's story is unfortunately not unique. Far too many dogs are subjected to neglect, abuse, and irresponsible breeding practices. It's up to responsible pet owners and animal rescue organizations to step in and provide care and support to these animals.
Whiskey's previous owner clearly failed to provide the necessary care and attention she needed. Her multiple pregnancies and lack of medical treatment resulted in a near-death experience for both her and her puppies. Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescuer intervened and helped to save Whiskey's life.
Since then, Whiskey has been in foster care, where she has received the love and attention she deserves. Despite her past traumas, she has shown herself to be a loving and affectionate dog, who enjoys snuggling and playing with puppies. Her interest in the foster's cat is a promising sign that she could potentially live with other animals.
However, Whiskey's journey towards finding a forever home has been complicated by her previous owner's attempts to reclaim her. It's heart-wrenching to imagine Whiskey being returned to a situation where she was neglected and mistreated. Her previous owner floods our feeds begging for her back, that she just gave her to us to fix her. Well, that is not true, and she almost died in her care! There is NO WAY in HELL she will ever get Whiskey again. She sends friends to our website to apply, and she applies to adopt. Reviewing her apps are difficult as we must make sure it is not her past coming back to haunt her. We need your help, we need to find Whiskey the best family. We will continue to block the trolls, but her story deserves a happy ending.
If you are interested in adopting Whiskey, please understand that she requires a patient and loving home. Her deafness and broken leg may require special accommodations, but she is still an active and curious dog who deserves a chance at a happy life.
