Looking to make a difference in the Rescue, Rehab, Reform of animals in Texas? Our volunteer team can help find the perfect way for you to help get involved and make a difference in the DFW Metroplex and across the state of Texas. Our volunteers and foster families are essential to our mission. We CANNOT do this alone, we need our volunteers. Volunteers are essential to the success of the rescue and our ability to save animals and educate the community.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Requirements

Submit an online application, which includes signing a volunteer agreement and a Release and Waiver of Liability form.

 

Complete an online general volunteer orientation session.

 

Sign up for our behavior training classes (coming soon) 

 

Attend additional training sessions as required by Dallas Dog.

 

Volunteer at least monthly.

 

Treat all animals with kindness and concern for their welfare.

 

Represent yourself and Dallas Dog in a professional manner and treat clients, staff, and other volunteers with respect.

 

Must be 18 years of age or older to handle  animals 

 

Must be 16 years of age or older to help with other opportunities to save lives.

Orientation is  required before you can begin volunteering with Dallas DogRRR

Complete the Volunteer Application. Applications are processed twice a week by Dallas Dog Volunteer Team.

Watch the Volunteer Orientation Online. The link to the Volunteer Orientation is sent after your application has been processed and can take up to 4 days.

Will have to complete our behavior training program.

Required Trainings

This is mandatory training that must be completed per our insurance company, this is required to be completed before handling animals. Once training is completed please print and email your certificate to foster@dallasdogrrr.org.
