HOW.
• Fostering: Provide a temporary home and care for dogs as they prepare for adoption.
• Dog Walking & Transport: Help ensure our dogs get exercise and safely travel to vet appointments or events.
• Event Support: Assist with adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach.
• Social Media & Marketing: Help spread the word by creating content, promoting dogs for adoption, and managing our online presence.

OPEN VOLUNTEER ROLES
Adoption
Be part of our mission to match dogs with their perfect homes. As a member of our Adoption Team, you’ll support the adoption process by managing applications, assisting with updates, and helping adopters transition smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process adoption applications and manage animal profiles.
• Follow up with adopters to answer questions and provide support.
• Ensure up-to-date animal information on our website and social media, including new photos and bios.
• Manage alumni updates and share heartwarming adoption stories.
Medical
Join our Medical Support Team and play a critical role in ensuring that every dog receives essential medical care. By managing records and supporting our fosters, you’ll be key to keeping our dogs healthy and ready for their forever homes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update medical records, including heartworm prevention, spay/neuter procedures, and vaccination schedules.
• Support post-adoption needs, such as scheduling follow-up spay/neuter appointments.
• Upload medical records and ensure easy access for fosters and adopters.
• Create and distribute training materials and quick-reference sheets for fosters and adopters, providing essential care resources.
Event
Be part of the action with our Event Team! Plan and execute adoption events at local venues, creating memorable experiences for dogs, fosters, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate event themes, attendance, and foster participation.
• Notify fosters about upcoming events and encourage engagement.
• Oversee event advertising, including graphics and promotional materials.
• Manage event set-up, including adoption bins and supplies.
• Organize volunteer roles, including dog handlers and transport coordinators.
• Weekend availability preferred, with some weekday events.
Volunteer
Help grow our volunteer program and ensure smooth operations! By supporting new applications, orientations, and volunteer appreciation, you’ll keep our team strong and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process new volunteer applications, coordinate orientations, and assist with enrollments.
• Keep the volunteer database up-to-date and respond to inquiries.
• Manage volunteer appreciation, including our “Sunshine Program” to recognize exceptional contributions.
• Create social media content to celebrate our volunteers and their impact.
Fundraising
Help us secure critical funds by joining the Fundraising Team! You’ll work closely with the Social Media Team, creating campaigns and organizing fundraisers to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns on social media.
• Assist with planning larger events and brainstorming creative fundraising ideas.
• Develop new and innovative ways to raise funds, directly impacting our ability to rescue and rehabilitate more animals.
Transport
Hit the road with our Transport Team! Assist with various tasks like transporting animals, delivering supplies, and supporting adoption events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transport animals to and from medical appointments, adoption events, and meet-and-greets.
• Pick up and deliver donations or supplies to fosters as needed.
• Help with logistics and support families during adoption transitions.

Social Media
Join our Social Media Team to help share inspiring stories and updates about our animals. Use your creativity and organizational skills to promote our mission across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create engaging stories and posts on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and YouTube.
• Share updates on foster animals, transformations, and adoption stories.
• Manage and organize content to ensure a consistent and impactful presence.
Communication
Help us stay connected! Join our Communications Team to create newsletters, manage announcements, and keep fosters and adopters informed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating newsletters for fosters, adopters, and the community.
• Write thank-you notes and share updates on our social media.
• Draft announcements and email communications for events, updates, and more.
Graphic Design
If you’re a creative professional, help us make an impact by joining our Graphic Design Team! Your skills will help promote adoptions, foster placements, and events while keeping our branding strong.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design eye-catching graphics for fosters, adoption promotions, and events.
• Create visual content that aligns with our brand and messaging.
• Work on branded templates and images for events, social media, and newsletters.
Grant
Join our Grant Writing Team and help secure funding for Dallas DogRRR’s mission. Your research and writing will help us access vital resources to expand our rescue efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research grant opportunities that align with our mission.
• Write proposals and secure grants for critical funding.
• Ensure funds support our rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts.
Supply
Join the Supply Team to support our fosters by managing and organizing supplies. Help ensure that every foster has what they need to care for their animals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain depot locations stocked with food and supplies.
• Pick up and deliver supplies as needed, including to and from storage or depots.
• Keep our supply storage area organized and accessible.
• Meet fosters at the storage unit in Plano during set times or at events to provide needed supplies.
• Assist with South Texas transport on Monday nights to supply fosters with necessary items.
Foster
As a Foster Team member, you’ll be a direct link in our mission, empowering fosters to save lives. Help us provide fosters with support, resources, and recognition to ensure successful placements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process foster applications, manage onboarding, and follow up with new fosters.
• Check in with fosters to provide support, update dog bios, and photos.
• Help coordinate foster pick-ups, transport, and temporary coverage.
• Organize foster appreciation activities and manage the “Foster Buddy” support system.
• Keep an updated list of dogs needing coverage or new placements.
DISCLAIMERS
At Dallas DogRRR, all of our animals go through a thorough medical and behavioral evaluation process. While it’s not necessarily rigorous, each dog is carefully monitored and supported through our foster system, where they receive medical care and are observed in a home environment. Our fosters are trained to help support the behavioral needs of the animals, regularly updating us on their progress and any concerns. This allows us to disclose all known behaviors to potential adopters. However, as with any animal, new behaviors may emerge as they become more comfortable in their new home.
For our boarding dogs, many have experienced a home environment at some point and receive regular socialization and training, including the Canine Good Citizen program and work with volunteers. Some dogs also undergo more intensive training based on their individual needs.
We provide full transparency to adopters about each pet’s medical and behavioral history, but please understand that every dog’s behavior can evolve as they adjust to a new environment. However, we do not guarantee breed or age, as these details are based on the information available at the time of rescue.
