Meet Hamilton, The French Bulldog

Greetings from Hamilton! I am a four-year-old male French Bulldog who recently made the trip up from South Texas. I was an owner surrender and before coming to DogRRR I spent most of my life outside in the South Texas heat. Since living inside a home with people who take care of me, I have blossomed and I am letting my personality show.

I am rather new to the DogRRR world, but so far my foster family gives me a thumbs up on my potty training skills (I have an impressive record of no accidents in the house). I love going for short rides in the car even if it's just a trip to the drive-thru for coffee. When I'm not looking out the window of a car, I like playing fetch or chewing on a stuffed toy. But most of all, I love hanging out with my people. When I see new human friends I jump up and give them kisses. After a few moments, I roll onto my back and invite you to give me belly rubs. I have also been known to wiggle onto your lap in a not-so-subtle way.

I am a pretty high-energy guy and I can jump much higher than you'd expect a gentleman of my size to jump. Before you ask, yes, I can jump over 4 feet high if I need to! For this reason, my forever family should either plan on leash walking me (which I enjoy) or have a tall fence. I do like other dogs and I am learning how to play with them. I haven't been around cats yet. My foster family thinks I would do fine with children since I am pretty gentle and really love attention. I would be fine as a single pet or with a dog sibling/roommate.

Being in my crate is not my favorite thing to do and rest assured I let the humans know that I am displeased. But, admittedly, after about 10 minutes of protest, I accept my fate and take a nap in my crate. And one last thing: I hope you like snorts and grunts because I am a noisy guy! I promise you will always know where I am in the house. Oddly enough, I'm not a big snorer though!

Before my adoption, I'll have all my vaccines, and be neutered and microchipped. If I sound like a good fit to you and your people, apply to adopt me!
