Deputy Was Found Left on a Chain

Updated: Sep 12, 2022

In deep south Texas, Deputy lived in a dirt yard on a chain. When he was found, we was skin and bones. Left without food and water and only received food if he was lucky once a week !

Good samaritans wanted to help him. Finally, the calls and pleas for help were answered.

Grateful To Be Saved

Deputy was found in horrible conditions. He was outside all of the time, and fed whenever the owner found the time, throwing him scraps when he felt like it - about once a week. His companions in the yard were chickens, most left for dead due to malnourishment. Had he not been saved, Deputy would have met the same fate. When found, Deputy was so skinny, one might have presumed him dead when he laid on the ground.

He was also the sweetest and happiest dog. So anxious to be saved, he greeted rescuers with a wagging tail and an eagerness to be saved and taken off his chain.

The law may be in affect however without enforcement no change will happen!

This was the chain that Deputy was tied to for so long. He only knew that dirt yard.

Imagine spending your life on a chain!

We have broken his chain now. But Deputy still needs his happy ending and we need your help! Deputy needs a foster while he is able to gain some weight back.

He is the most amazing dog. An absolute sweetheart who holds no grudges to humans despite his hard past. He is ready to love and deserves a family.

Deputy is currently safe in boarding, but this is a temporary solution.

He needs a caring foster, or better yet, an adopter to show him the love he deserves! Could that person be you?

Make a change today. Help Deputy.

Thank you for HELPING US, HELP ANIMALS, overcome their yesterdays and rewrite their tomorrow.
