At Dallas DogRRR, our mission is to empower families to support their pets — offering resources to help you navigate challenges without immediately surrendering your beloved pet.

We understand that life happens, and we are here to provide support, compassion, and affordable solutions whenever possible.

Important Intake Update:

As a foster-based rescue, our ability to intake pets is currently limited based on available foster homes.

Please submit a request — if placement is possible, we will contact you. Meanwhile, we offer support resources for families needing help.

Surrendering Your Pet – What We Need to Know

    • Full Name

    • Breed & Estimated Age

    • Gender & Alteration Status

    • Dog-friendly

    • Kid-friendly

    • Cat-friendly

    • General disposition (e.g., affectionate, shy, playful, calm)

    • Vaccinations

    • Heartworm Status

    • Medical Conditions

    • Behavioral Notes

    • Leash Manners

    • Training Level

    • Reason for Surrender

    • Previous Environment

If you are seeking to surrender your pet, please submit the following information via email or the Outreach Support Application:

​Once you decide not to adopt, the adoption team will proceed with the applicant, conducting a home check, vet check, and arranging meet and greets.

Current Intake Policies

  • We are a foster-based rescue, meaning intake depends entirely on available fosters.

  • We currently maintain a waiting list for intake.

  • Pets with serious aggression or severe behavioral issues cannot be accepted at this time.

  • If we cannot intake, we will provide referrals and guidance wherever possible.

We understand that financial struggles, unexpected expenses, and other hardships can make it difficult to care for a pet.

Through our diverse range of services, we aim to create a safety net for pet owners facing difficult circumstances.

Need a Little Help? We’re Here for You.

Through our Outreach Support Program, you may qualify for:
  • Emergency pet food

  • Assistance with basic veterinary care

  • Temporary boarding or pet rent help

  • Behavior and training resources

  • Referrals to low-cost vet services

However, our team will review every request carefully and respond within 72 hours whenever possible.

We are committed to offering guidance, referrals, and support options to help families and pets whenever we can.
