Sebastian's Transformation

Sebastian (now Apollo) was found alone in the elements near a cardboard box of food. Someone appears to have been feeding him but how did he get like this? Why wasn't he given medical care?

Scroll down to see his amazing transformation!

SUFFERING NO MORE

Sebastian was found by an investigator out on patrol. It seemed as though someone was feeding him as there was a box of food nearby but we’ll never know why he was left and how he ended up in such bad shape. He had lacerations on his neck and face and his paws were bleeding. The wounds on his body were deep and were infected and necrotic. Once at the vet, we found out he had heartworms, ehrlichia, and anaplasia, was slightly anemic, and was skin and bones. Despite everything he went through, Apollo was very sweet and loving. He needed a lot of care but Dallas DogRRR never shies away from that!

Just look at him now!

His foster, Heather F. says, “I started fostering Sebastian in late October 2020 – I saw his story and the sorrow in his eyes from his rescue picture broke my heart. He was found at a dumping site in South Texas with a severely infected neck wound, a torn CCL, emaciated, and clinging to life. Despite everything he has been through, he has a heart of gold and is so eager to please. I fell in love with him on day one, but my decision to foster fail was solidified when my other dog, who is usually picky and independent, began bonding with him. He has brought so much joy to my life and my other dog. I officially adopted him in December 2020 and is thriving! Thank you to Dallas DogRRR and the animal control officers in South Texas for giving him a second chance at life.”
