Katrina grew up in Chantilly, VA with family cats and riding horses. She has always had a love for animals, and knew she wanted a career in helping them. She majored in Conservation Biology at SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY in 2011. She worked as a dog walker right out of college, before getting a full time position with an environmental company. She started volunteering with animal rescue dogs while living in Maryland- helping walk, care for, and pull dogs from the shelter for the rescue. She and her husband moved to Texas in 2019, and started fostering for Dallas DogRRR in February 2021.
Katrina helps coordinate temp foster coverage for dogs, and places dogs with fosters. She volunteers with Dallas DogRRR because helping animals is a passion of hers. Helping dogs come from a shelter environment and give them the love to help them adjust to a home setting is incredibly important. Katrina says that if she could ensure that every animal lived a happy life, she would. Since that's impossible, she wants to make sure to do any part in making this a reality.
